26th January, the date that is engraved on the Heart of every Indian. The day when, India sailed off on a new yet adventurous Voyage, from the port of Red Fort, passing Vijaynagar in the East, Guhar Moti in the West, Kanyakumari in the South and finally hoisting its “Tiranga” at Jammu and Kashmir in the North. The day when India exhibited how “its pen is indeed mightier than thousands of swords”. The day when a piece of paper, a mere draft, came into action and smashed to smithereens all the clouds of uncertainty and trepidation regarding the future of Independent India .  The day when India put into action the threads of Justice, Liberty, Equality and fraternity and Weaved a holy fabric called Constitution. 26th January thus commemorates the Republic Day of Independent India, the nation of love, peace, prosperity, justice, brotherhood and equality, each word binded together strongly and stands out proudly.

At Tangled Store, We had an activity today. We decided to chalk out which Pearl in the Indian Crown shines the brightest in this 21st Century? Some of us said the army, others said our fraternity, and some smiling faces said M.S. Dhoni and our PM Narendra Modi .

Then came a calm and composed, melodious yet enduring voice, from behind. In four proud words she said -”The women of India ”. Indeed, the voice of that Indian Women was calm and composed, like the ocean. It was melodious, like the Nightingale and enduring as a Soldier. The voice came from behind because that’s how Indian women are, gone are the days when women needed equal opportunity. Now they only need opportunity and they start galloping with large strides towards the first position from the last and rise from behind. Certainly, No one could agree more. Surely , its the women of India, shining brightly as the most valuable pearl  in the Indian Crown.

From Nirmala Sitharaman – the Defence minister of India to Mithali Raj – the pride of Indian Cricket, from Deepa Karmakar ,Seema Punia, Deepika kumari , PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom, Hima Das in sports to Indu Malhotra in the Supreme Court, and from Indian Households to the Indian Army, the women of India have Indeed marched towards Glory.

With a colossal cluster of memories of achievements of Indian Women, the reckoning of many more women marching the road towards glory in the years to come, and a joy of transiting towards the India “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high”, as dreamed by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Let’s celebrate our 70th Republic Day not only on this 26th January, but each day for the rest of our life by proving to be the best citizens of this country and make India the Golden Bird, yet again.

May this feeling of patriotism thrive in our hearts till our last breath .

All of us, at @Tangled Store wish you and all the Indians a Very Proud Republic Day .

Jai Hind.
